Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us?

MILLIONS of years ago, the ancient sages taught, man and all the kingdoms of nature existed as prototypes.

 They gradually developed in the womb of Gaia, Mother Earth, gestating in their formative stage before birth onto this plane of existence.

The living spiritual prototypes were held in an invisible astral matrix, a semi-physical energy field, The Secret Doctrine explains.

This field is the astral projection of the eternal akasic field, the storehouse of all pre-evolutionary blueprints of former worlds.

As they develop the prototypical forms are likened to a living fetus suspended in the ocean of its mother’s womb. There was no ‘solid matter’ as we know it in those developing astral times, more than 300,000,000 years ago it is taught.

Guiding the process is an intelligent hierarchy of spiritual parent-beings, a “hive-mind” at work behind-the-scenes, says The Secret Doctrine, a Mind busily retrofitting the numerous forms of nature and man—preparing them to be reborn on the to-be new Earth, guided by immutable cyclic laws. Just as Earth mother nourished and birthed innumerable beings in the faraway past, the same grand evolutionary scheme is mirrored today in the differentiation of the human fetus— stages that traverse single-celled zygote, which becomes a mass of cells known as a blastocyst.

Science rejects everything except “mechanical laws,” Blavatsky wrote (SD 2:660), “and admits of no principle outside matter.” Occult Science on the other hand, “allows the human physical frame to have passed through every form, from the lowest to the very highest, its present one.” 

Scientists of Blavatsky’s era recognized this, notably E. H. Haeckel, (mentioned by Blavatsky) who formulated a biogenetic law proposing a recapitulation theory.

The theory states that the embryological development of the individual repeats the stages in the evolutionary development of the species, i.e. “ontonlogy recaptitulates phylogony.”

Ironically the process supports both the intelligently guided evolution of occultism, and the random materialistic Darwinian model. Take your choice.

Day by day mineral, plant, animal and human kingdoms are all represented sequentially over a relatively short period as the developing fetus takes shape from a tiny egg invisible to the naked eye.

Just 12 days after fertilization, the cells destined to become the fetus turn into something else first: the embryo. By month’s end, this embryo is about the size of a grain of rice, and it looks more tadpole than human, sporting a tail where legs should be.

There was also a critical cycling in Earth’s development, when a relatively rapid appearance of forms occurred, “seemingly abruptly and from nowhere.” Nearly all of the major phyla in the animal kingdom appeared in a sudden burst of evolution.

This was during the Cambrian explosion and is memorialized in the fossil record — a record which sorely vexed Charles Darwin with his slow, predictable, though random evolutionary theory, and still generates extensive scientific debate today.

The phenomenon represents for Theosophists, however, prima facie evidence of the universal gestation on invisible spheres, as is described by Occult evolutionary science in The Secret Doctrine.

But, according to The Secret Doctrine (2:52), “nature unaided fails,” and the long period of ancient evolution was neither random or blind. On the job at the same time were highly evolved intelligent beings who assisted in transferring and reorganizing the many root-types carried over from an older system.

The duties of those ancient hierarchies, called Dhyanis, consisted of “alteration and addition,” wrote W. Q. Judge in The Ocean of Theosophy (Ch.15),

“which resulted in the differentiation afterwards, on this gross plane, into the various families, species, and genera.”

New Spiritual Patterns 2

DURING critical awakening moments in our spiritual development, we sometimes receive timely messages in our personal consciousness.

More often than not they arrive in symbolic form, and in dreams or visions, challenging our brain dominated mind.

This is because, Theosophy says, our inner, reincarnating self is not here alone. It was chosen by the Higher Self to be its “terrestrial abode.”

This occult process is described by The Secret Doctrine in metaphysical terms, how our inner child

“is drawn into the one and highest beam of the Parent-Sun.”

It is this spiritual evolution of the inner, immortal — now semi-awakened aspect of our nature, the teaching says — which is the “fundamental tenet in the Occult Sciences.”

The closer our personal self gets to our Higher Self, true occultism says, the more harmonious outcome in life for a human selves.

A direct effect of an increased harmony between the Arjuna and Krishna in us, that altruism eventually becomes the ruling factor in our life. This altruism or unselfishness is an “integral part of self-development,” as described in a previous post, when acceptance is willing and unforced.

Holy Heretics

IN ANY age, when doctrine becomes dogma, and when fanaticism compels lip service to exclusive group beliefs, the ideas of Theosophy seem buried and forgotten.

We discover, however, that this is never entirely the case.

The insurgencies of dogma and prejudice are like the frozen snows which hide the promise of spring. But seeds survive beneath the snow — and even during the darkest centuries of Western history, there was heat and warmth enough under the surface to allow some of these seeds to germinate.

In a sense, then, the history of the relationship between “heretics” and the “renaissance” is the history of every age.

“We do not mean to take upon ourselves to defend the sects which inundated Europe at the eleventh century,” Helena Blavatsky wrote in Isis Unveiled (p. 326), “and which brought to light the most wonderful creeds. We limit our defense….

“…to those Christian sects whose theories were usually grouped under the generic name of Gnosticism. The Gnostics [who] appeared immediately after the alleged crucifixion, and lasted till they were nearly exterminated under the rigorous execution of the Constantinian law.”

“Had not the Christians burdened themselves with the Revelations of a little nation, and accepted the Jehovah of Moses, the Gnostic ideas would never have been termed heresies,” Blavatsky wrote.

The Turning-Point

THE days of Constantine were the last turning-point in history, the period of the Supreme struggle that ended in the Western world throttling the old religions in favor of the new one, built on their bodies.

The Inquisition

NOT only were all Christians made to feel that it was their highest duty to aid in the exterminations of heretics, but they were taught that they must denounce them to the authorities, regardless of all consideration, human or divine. No tie of kindred served as an excuse for concealing heresy.

The son must denounce the father, and the husband was guilty if he did not deliver his wife to a frightful death.

Every human bond was severed by the guilt of heresy — children were taught to desert their parents, and even the sacrament of matrimony could not unite an orthodox wife to a misbelieving husband.
